As a crucial member of our Children's Community Audiology Service, you will contribute to supporting children and young people in community clinics across B&NES, Somerset, and Wiltshire. In this flexible, Full or Part Time position, you'll work between Monday and Friday 9:00am and 5:00pm, with the added benefit of being able to handle administration tasks from the comfort of your home.

Main Responsibilities

As a Children's Audiologist you will:

1. Undertake paediatric hearing assessment clinics using appropriate behavioural and objective test techniques
2. Enable the formulation of individual care plans including the assessment of children considered to be routine as well as those with complex needs
3. Write appropriate clear and concise reports to communicate test findings to the referring professional and others involved in the care of the child
4. Liaise with colleagues from other disciplines in making individual care plans
5. Communicate effectively with children, young people and families who may have hearing loss
6. Plan and prioritise own administrative workload, and manage time effectively
7. Work with other team members to ensure the smooth running of audiology clinics
8. Contribute towards service development with the Children’s Community Audiology Service team

The Ideal Candidate

1. You will have a BSc in Audiology and be registered with RCCP or HCPC
2. Experience working as a Paediatric Audiologist
3. As this is a community role, you will need to be able to travel across our services - A valid driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is preferred
