External Job Advert
Balance Sheet Control Manager
12 month FTC
Salary up to £60,000
Location: York
Are you an experienced accountant who would like to make an impact in a diverse and multinational team solving complex issues and challenges?
This is a great opportunity for someone to support the delivery of lasting improvements to our operational finance processes, improving the timeliness, quality and efficiency of Aviva’s internal and external financial reporting and ensuring we are set up to respond in an agile way to business change.
The role would suit someone who likes getting involved in the detail and is happy to roll their sleeves up to thoroughly investigate issues to identify root causes and propose actions to address these. Helping to then deliver the necessary solutions to remediate the issues identified will also be a key part of this role.
A bit about the job:
This role is in the UK Life General Ledger Close and Balance Sheet Control team, specifically in the reconciliations area, working with our colleagues in the UK and offshore. You will be responsible for performing detailed investigations across all the key balance sheet reconciliations within the UK Life business, to produce a full listing of all the issues currently impacting these reconciliations and help drive the resolution.
The role holder will be responsible for developing detailed, robust and fully costed action plans to remediate all the issues identified in the key reconciliations, in order to facilitate and support the complete and materially accurate reporting of the UKL Financial results.
