Humanities Teacher Transform Learning for SEMH Students!

Job Title: Humanities TeacherLocation: Hammersmith and Fulham
Salary: £150 - £220 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Full-time

Are you an experienced Humanities Teacher with a passion for supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism (ASD)? Do you thrive in a nurturing and adaptable environment where every lesson makes a difference? If so, GSL Education are thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for an adaptable Humanities Teacher in a dynamic school in Hammersmith and Fulham.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a specialist school, delivering engaging and tailored Humanities lessons that inspire students to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver dynamic Humanities lessons tailored to students with SEMH and ASD.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Provide a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning experience.
  • Work closely with SEN specialists, support staff, and therapists to develop individual learning plans.
  • Encourage students' confidence, social skills, and academic growth.
  • Monitor progress and provide targeted feedback to support student development.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualified Humanities Teacher (QTS or equivalent).
  • Previous experience teaching SEMH/SEN students is essential.
  • Strong ability to adapt lessons to suit all learning levels.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to teaching.
  • Passionate about helping students overcome barriers to education.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • Have an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
