About the role

The focus of the Executive Assistant is to provide professional and efficient administrative support to consultants and ensure accurate record-keeping of client and candidate information. The postholder will support project management, client relations and customer support, manage diaries alongside more general administrative and database duties.

The Business and Executive Support (BES) team work closely to ensure that consultants are supported in the best way possible to achieve great services for clients and candidates.

Who are we looking for?

The postholder will be highly motivated and organised in providing support to colleagues in a busy and fast-paced environment. They will have a high level of verbal and written communications skills, and attention to detail.

We are looking for ambitious, proactive, and customer-focused individuals with a positive and enthusiastic personality.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Strong Organisational Skills: Ability to keep good time management and attention to detail in our fast-paced environment.
  • Communication: Experience in good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidentiality and Discretion: Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in line with GDPR.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and an ability to learn new systems, tools or software specific to Peridot.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think quickly, handle unforeseen challenges and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Decision-Making: Ability to be proactive in anticipating needs and solving problems before they arise, with minimal guidance.
  • Multitasking and Flexibility: Ability to handle various responsibilities, from managing calendars, preparing documents, responding to correspondence while maintaining high standards of work, and ability to adjust to changing situations, priorities, or expectations.
  • Customer Service: Professional, friendly and approachable, with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Project Management: Ability to assist with multiple project timelines, resources and communication among clients, candidates and team members.
  • Experience: Previous secretarial/administrative experience is desirable.

Flexible and agile working – though, ideally, you will be in an office for a couple of days each week to spend time with your colleagues. We have offices in central London, Bingham (Nottinghamshire) and Cannock (Staffordshire).
