Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Patrolling and Surveillance:
- Regularly patrolling assigned areas to detect and deter suspicious activity.
- Monitoring CCTV cameras and other surveillance equipment.
- Inspecting buildings, perimeters, and access points.
- Access Control:
- Verifying the identity of individuals entering premises.
- Controlling access to restricted areas.
- Maintaining visitor logs.
- Incident Response:
- Responding to alarms, emergencies, and disturbances.
- Taking appropriate action in response to security breaches or incidents.
- Providing first aid or other assistance as needed.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Preparing detailed incident reports.
- Maintaining accurate logs of daily activities and observations.
- Documenting any security breaches or violations.
- Enforcing Security Protocols:
- Ensuring compliance with company security policies and procedures.
- Enforcing rules and regulations.
- Providing guidance regarding safety protocols.
- Customer Service:
- Providing assistance to visitors and staff.
- Maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Acting as a point of contact for security related questions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience within the security industry
- SIA Licence
- Driving Licence and access to vehicle, or good transport links
- Strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and best practices
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Windows and security management systems
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse groups of people
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm, make sound decisions, and take appropriate action in emergency situations
- Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods and perform security-related duties
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations
- Excellent written communication skills for preparing clear and concise reports
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- High level of integrity, reliability, and discretion
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus
