An opportunity has arisen for a Chief Garage Mechanic to join the Jaguar TCS Racing department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment.
About the role
The purpose of the role is to provide the workshop and trackside garage technician function, in support of the Jaguar Formula E Teams daily operational goals.
What you will do
- Operate as a garage technician for the Jaguar Formula E Team at the factory and on event as required.
- Manage the team wheel and tyre inventory, including preparation, TPMS unit fitting, and managing tyres during sessions at race and test events.
- Plan and administer all team truck operations including loading, inventory keeping, and service administration.
- Maintain all team consumable stocks, ensuring re-stock orders are placed as required.
- Purchase, maintain, and manage the team pit equipment and off-car hardware, ensuring kit is ready for use and stored correctly.
- Assist in the assembly and maintenance of the race and test garage infrastructures.
- Assist with all freight movements including organisation, packing, and paperwork creation.
- Be the go-to person for storage of current and historic pit equipment.
- Ensure the workshop and race/test locations are kept neat and tidy.
- Escalate any issues encountered with kit or operations to management.
- Adhere to all Jag FE and wider business processes and policies.
- Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
About you
- Significant experience in motorsport event garage operations (both factory and trackside).
- Familiar with race event tyre management and in-session pressure adjustments.
- Experience with truck maintenance and stock keeping.
- Familiar with road and air freight operations.
- A confident self-starting team player, familiar with the fast-paced requirements of a race and test team environment.
