This is an opportunity to establish yourself and prosper in a major Lighting UK company.

Working closely with the Sales Management team, your role will be varied and challenging, encompassing all the below:

1. Already an experienced Merchandiser or a Junior Merchandiser who is ready to step up and has the ability to interpret information & make decisions to maximise sales and stock efficiency.
2. Forward Planning Stocks for all customers.
3. Working with Key Account Managers to ensure their customer forecast/requirements are met.
4. Distributing stocks efficiently between forecast channels to ensure all customers’ requirements are met.
5. Keeping forecast channels on the internal system accurate and up to date.
6. Checking and reviewing lines which have flagged as exceeding forecast quantities.
7. Work with internal departments to co-ordinate stock orders for promotions.
8. Monitor and report on underperformance and/or clearance.
9. Raising Factory orders and collaborating with them to manage minimums MOQ.
10. Consulting with overseas factories to ensure purchase orders are manufactured within the agreed lead-time.
11. Maintaining accurate lead times and minimums from factories.
12. Working closely with the shipping department & warehouse to optimise container fills and deliveries into our warehouse.
13. Keeping track of forward sales orders.
14. Planning rebuys based on forward sales orders.
15. Working closely with the Product team to review the weekly Critical Path to ensure new season launch dates are met.
16. Highlight slow moving or aged stock.
17. On demand reports – as and when Managers/Directors require.
18. Identifying Over stock/Under stock / Good sellers/ Bad sellers.
19. Advance Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP/Pivot Tables/If Functions/SUMIF).
20. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience in a Merchandiser / Assistant role within the fashion or retail sector.
• Strong understanding of range planning, demand planning, forecasting, and stock management.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a critical path effectively.
• Strong commercial acumen with a passion for product and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working towards ambitious goals.
• Security within a well-established company.
• 8.30 – 5pm.
