Job description

Financial Systems Accountant needed in Dorset, £40,000 – £50,000 per annum dependant on experience

PAYE – Reference: 5264680

Role Purpose

To assist the project accountant in uploading budgets and actuals forecasts into the group reporting software, ensuring the accuracy and reconciliation of data across multiple entities. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve system issues within Workday Adaptive and contribute to the creation of year-end reports for our finance team. You will also assist the financial reporting team with the year-end statutory reporting requirements, including statutory financial statement preparation and assisting where needed with audit.

Key Accountabilities

  • Assist in the preparation of the new budget creation and upload into the group reporting software. Supporting on the integration of our new system into the budgeting tool.
  • Assist in the preparation of the statutory accounts in accordance with the Group’s timetable, supporting on the group’s subsidiary companies; including, but not limited to the preparation of year end reporting schedules in line with external auditors’ requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of a consolidated reporting schedule to automate the group consolidation process.
  • Assist in the preparation of all the group’s FVA returns.
  • Support the Project Accountant with the day-to-day maintenance of the finance reporting and budgeting system (Adaptive).
  • Support the Fixed asset reporting team including, but not limited to:
    1. Periodic review of assets for potential obsolescence and impairment
    2. Reconcile housing stock between the Hub and A4K
    3. The preparation of current asset housing property fixed asset notes.

Assist with any other external reporting task as required.

This is a full time role on a permanent basis
