An established industry player is looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive Secondary School in Pudsey. This role focuses on supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them build confidence and achieve their academic potential. The ideal candidate will possess a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have a passion for fostering learning in a safe environment. You will work closely with pupils, adapting lesson plans to meet their unique needs while delivering engaging small group sessions. We are seeking to appoint a full-time Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join one of our inclusive Secondary Schools based in Pudsey (LS28). You will work within the specialism provision, supporting students with a range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Pupils will work towards building their confidence and understanding of curriculum subjects through adapted lesson input and supported provision. The role is expected to commence May 2025 for the right applicant and has the potential to become permanent.
The vibrant Secondary School are seeking a confident and flexible HLTA to deliver small group lessons and learning input to two cohorts within the adapted provision. You will work closely with pupils who have a variety of needs, and help foster their learning for life, their potential vocational development, emotional regulation and well-being. You will assist with lesson delivery, tailor support to individual needs, and encourage learners to achieve their potential in a safe, inclusive environment.
You can expect to earn up to £100 per day for this role. Previous experience supporting SEMH learners is essential as well as the confidence to adapt teaching strategy to meet their needs.
