Our client is a fast-growing Manchester-based startup focused on transforming cyber security management for enterprise customers. Using an innovative SaaS platform, they help organisations:

The Role: Lead Front-End Developer (Vue.js)

As the Lead Front-End Developer, you will oversee the development of high-quality, performant user interfaces using Vue.js. You will lead a team of talented front-end developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment, and play a pivotal role in shaping the architectural direction of the product.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Mentoring:

• Lead and mentor a team of front-end developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and set/enforce coding standards.
• Drive front-end architectural decisions and establish performance benchmarks.

Development and Integration:

• Develop and maintain responsive user interfaces using Vue.js with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and services.
• Translate design wireframes and mockups into fully functional, user-centric web applications.

Collaboration and Strategy:

• Partner with product managers to understand business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to drive project success and align development with overall business goals.

Optimisation and Maintenance:

• Implement state management solutions (Vuex) and optimise applications for speed and efficiency.
• Continuously improve code quality, usability, and performance metrics.

What We’re Looking For:

• Expertise in Vue.js: At least 5-7 years of relevant experience with a strong technical background in Vue.js.
• Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading development teams and managing complex projects.
• Architectural Vision: High coding standards and experience driving front-end architectural decisions.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strategic approach to handling challenging technical issues.
• Growth Mindset: Ambition and capability to progress to CTO in a high-growth startup environment.

Requirements:

• Must be a British citizen or have Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR).
• Fully remote role, but candidates must reside in the UK.
