An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS Golden Jubilee Digital Department for an IT Operations Support Analyst. We are looking for a knowledgeable, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Operations team of skilled Support Analysts. Candidates should have good people, communication, problem solving and technical skills, as well as being a good team player, with the ability to work autonomously.
The role will provide the successful applicant with an interesting, varied and rewarding challenge, as the team provide and manage the underlying operational infrastructure across the entire campus including the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital, NHS Scotland Academy, Golden Jubilee Research Institute, Golden Jubilee Conference Hotel and The National Centre for Sustainable Delivery. Currently the team are working on several significant projects, using new and innovative technologies, to provide high availability and resiliency to a number of key patient services which are hosted across multiple data centres.
The key technical areas the team are predominantly responsible for includes server/backup/storage infrastructure refresh, maintenance, performance and availability monitoring as well as supporting our user base accessing the underlying services hosted therein. The post holder will work as part of an established team, ensuring that the infrastructure is developed and maintained to the highest standards.
Candidates should be educated to HND level in a Computer related science (or have equivalent experience) and have a proven track record working in 2nd/3rd line support within complex infrastructure environments. Experience with Microsoft operating systems (both server and desktop) is necessary as well as an in depth knowledge of the following products: Active Directory, Azure, Exchange and SCCM. It’s also desirable to have industry certification in the aforementioned areas and a working knowledge of M365 and backup technologies if possible.
The successful candidate will be based in the Digital department of the Golden Jubilee University National Hospital, Clydebank. The option to participate in a hybrid model of working (part office based, part working from home) is also available to the successful candidate.
