Location: Various Locations within The Highland Council, IV3 5NX

Salary: £23,332 - £23,587 per year

Contract Type: Temporary

Position Type: Full Time

Hours: 35 hours per week

Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
Duration: Fixed Term until 24 August 2025
Salary: £23,332 - £23,587 p.a.
Salary placing will normally be at the first point of the scale.

* The post requires some evening and weekend work and travel to attend and represent the views of young people at meetings and events as appropriate. Laptop and smartphone provided.

Job Purpose:

  1. To assist in ensuring that young people’s views in Highland are being voiced in partnership with The Highland Council and Community Planning Partners.
  2. To act as a representative for young people and Highland Youth Parliament in various council and public meetings discussing issues, policies and developments which have an impact on young people.
  3. To contribute towards making the Highlands the best place in Scotland to be young.
  4. To work for a good quality of life for young people and maximum availability of services for young people’s personal, social and educational development.
