Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: Bath (& surrounding areas)

Start Date: ASAP & Ongoing

Key Stage: 3 & 4

Salary: £475 to £550 per week (Paid weekly, PAYE, Pension, CPD)

Are you a Graduate seeking practical experience working with children?

Academics are seeking Cover Supervisors in the Bath area to keep up with the demand in covering absent teachers. Day to day, long term and permanent roles available which can be offered to suitable applicants on a part and full time basis.

What is a Cover Supervisor?

Cover supervisors are suitably trained school staff who supervise pupils carrying out pre-prepared exercises when teaching staff are on short-term absence. The cover supervisor's main job is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set.

This role can typically involve:
  1. Supervising / covering lessons already planned and set for a class.
  2. Managing pupil behaviour for any class you are assigned cover with and implement schools behaviour policy if required.
  3. Being flexible and able to provide cover across a range of subjects and key stages.
  4. Providing 1:1 support and answering questions about processes and procedures in line with the school policy.
  5. Keeping pupils on task to complete their work.
