Role: Windows & Doors (Technical Assessor)

Location: Remote, UK coverage

We are currently looking for an experienced engineer with practical testing experience in Fenestration, ideally in a Testing Lab within an ISO/IEC 17025 environment, to become our go-to external technical assessor.

Playing a pivotal role, our external Technical Assessors are a crucial part of the UKAS assessment process, providing UKAS with the essential expertise required to deliver robust assessments in Windows and Doors covering areas such as:

• Construction
• Basic & Enhanced Security
• Weathertightness
• Industrial and Garage Doors (General, dynamic forces methods & wind loading)
• Detailed technical expertise in physical, mechanical and security testing

To qualify, candidates should:

• Have a technical qualification in a mechanical or civil engineering discipline.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, being able to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Full training will be provided to become an Assessor in Report Writing to UKAS requirements, offering ISO/IEC 17024:2012 standard awareness and UKAS systems training.
