An established industry player is seeking a passionate educator to join their Musical Theatre team. This role involves teaching and delivering practical sessions focused on choreography to undergraduate students. About the Role:
Based in the Musical Theatre team in the Cambridge School of Creative Industries, your principal role will be to carry out teaching and deliver practical sessions to undergraduate Musical Theatre students, with a focus on Choreography. You will be expected to design and develop teaching materials across a range of modules and to contribute to curriculum development. You’ll play an important role in developing Anglia Ruskin University’s lively BA (Hons) Musical Theatre.
With knowledge and experience of the professional Musical Theatre industry, you will have the ability to teach a range of Musical Theatre dance styles, including jazz, tap, and ballet, and to choreograph numbers for Musical Theatre showcases and productions.
This 0.5FTE role is available as either a Lecturer or Lecturer Practitioner. For the Lecturer role, you will have successful teaching experience at HE level and/or relevant professional experience. A degree plus a PhD or Professional Doctorate, completed or nearing completion within the first 18 months of employment, is essential. For the Lecturer Practitioner role, a degree or relevant professional qualification is essential. Teaching experience at HE level will be a benefit.
