Job description

Stem Montessori is a purpose built centre located on Lincoln road in Hillmorton area.

Newly opened in January 2024, privately owned and operated.
Our space is clean, bright and designed to reflect our tamariki and their growing curiosity and desire for learning.

We create an environment where our tamariki have the freedom of choice to self select and direct their own learning in a prepared, well resourced environment.

As head teacher and 2IC, you will lead and inspire your team to reach their full potential, ensuring that our Stem Montessori vision and values succeed.
You will also step up and support our whole centre team when the centre manager is away.

About the role:
  • Full time, permanent position working minimum 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexibility in working both mid and end of day shifts.
  • Have provisional or full registration and a current first aid certificate.
  • Have a valid visa or permanent residency.
  • This role can be for an experienced head teacher/2IC or for a kaiako who is ready to take that next step in their leadership journey.
We are looking for a kaiako who has:
  • Can relate to whanau and show empathy and support where needed.
  • Be professional.
  • Motivate your team.
  • Understanding around Te Whariki, planning, and the ECE regulations.
