Director in the Interim Legal Team (Financial Services) at Major, Lindsey & Africa, EMEA (London)
I am looking for an experienced investment funds lawyer ideally with experience with board governance. The incoming candidate must be familiar with Diligent Entities (common tech platform for corporate actions).
Other key responsibilities of the role include:
Assist with the delivery of a governance service to Fund Boards, providing support and advice to Directors on all aspects of corporate governance.
Assist with the oversight of delivery of a governance service to the Boards of affiliated legal entities.
Provide clarity across the organisation on the delegation of authority framework of Fund Boards.
Proactively manage the programme of Fund Board meetings.
Steer informational flow from colleagues at all levels while maintaining alignment between Fund Boards and internal teams.
Advise on investment structures to meet internal board governance standards and protocols.
Enforce observance of agreed standards and protocols on the incorporation of new legal entities through affiliates or external service providers.
Skills required for this position:
Excellent attention to detail and comfortable working in a small team environment.
Ability to manage delivery and execution of a wide range of tasks and initiatives concurrently.
High level of analytics, initiative, resourcefulness and ability to demonstrate good business judgment.
Previous experience working in the investment funds industry.
Knowledge and understanding of the European private asset funds and alternatives industry.
This will be a 12 month contract to begin with; however, the incoming candidate will have an opportunity to be in contention for a permanent conversion.
