Electrical Tester

Duxford, Cambridgeshire

£40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience

2391 needed

Full time 40 hour week - Monday to Friday

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and inspecting electrical systems and components to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities as an Electrical Tester

1. Carry out electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in an industrial environment.
2. Perform testing and inspection of electrical systems in compliance with BS 7671 regulations.
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults efficiently.
4. Document and report test results, including any defects or issues found.
5. Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve electrical problems.
6. Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.
7. Stay updated with industry standards and advancements in electrical testing technology.

Skills needed to be an Electrical Tester

1. Experience working in an industrial environment.
2. An understanding of Risk Assessment & Method Statements.
3. Good communication and teamwork skills.
4. Commitment to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

1. Fully qualified BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition).
2. Fully qualified C&G 2391.
