Our projects range in value from £5k to £15m, taking the role of Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various schemes, and supporting our valued Tier 1 contractor clients in a subcontractor and off-site manufacturing capacity.

Role Purpose

Currently, we are looking to recruit a Mechanical Fitter due to continued growth. In this role, you will work with a team of mechanical and electrical engineers across various client sites in the Severn Trent Water region.

The Role

Contracted to 40hrs per week on site hours, Monday to Friday. Paid hourly. You will be paid your travel time door to door, on top of your contracted and overtime hours.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

1. Ensuring the health and safety of yourself and others
2. Minimizing impact on and protection of the environment
3. Interpreting site drawings and project information
4. Liaising with other contractors
5. Occasional lodging away.

Minimum Requirements:

1. CSCS Card or similar (essential)
2. Full UK Driving license (essential)
3. Experience working as a Mechanical Fitter within an industrial or construction environment
4. Industrial installation experience
5. Good understanding of mechanical drawings
6. Ability to communicate effectively.

Desirable:

1. Appropriate trade qualification
2. Water industry experience
3. EUSR water hygiene
4. Thames water passport
5. Mechanical Mates stepping up to Fitter role (must have relevant qualifications/certifications).
