Personal Care Assistant (PA) P/T - BS31

£12.10 weekdays. £12.70 weekends. £13.10 bank hol - BRISTOL - BS31

I am a disabled lady receiving support and care at home from my husband and a team of Personal Assistants (PAs). These PAs help with my personal care and support needs as well as undertaking a range of domestic tasks. I am on direct payment funding from Bath and North East Somerset Council to enable me to employ PAs for my care and support needs.

I am currently looking for someone to join my team to work some regular weekday hours and, if possible, one or two weekend morning shifts a month. Some weekend evening work is also available. Please get in touch if you are interested in working all or just some of these shifts.

Required Shifts:

1. Every Tuesday evening (or possibly one other weekday evening as an alternative). Evening shifts are usually 3.50 hrs in length with a start time of 7 pm, but some negotiation is possible.
2. A job share with 4 hours on a Friday morning every other week, with the option of working 3.50 hrs on the alternate Friday afternoons.
3. Morning weekend shifts available on a rota basis (approx one a month) as well as two or more late afternoon/early evening weekend shifts a month.

Morning shifts are usually 4 hours and afternoon/evening shifts are 3.50 hours. Weekday shifts are paid at £12.10 per hour, weekend shifts at £12.70 per hour, and the bank holiday rate is £13.10 per hour.

There is also the option of undertaking holiday or sickness cover for other PAs, and other weekday or weekend hours may be available at times. These hours of work will be contracted with 5.6 weeks paid leave per year based on regular working hours, including bank holidays (as per the Statutory Leave Entitlement).

Candidate Requirements:

1. Female candidate required due to the personal care nature of the work.
2. Non-smoker.
3. Covid vaccination status needs to be disclosed.
4. Experience is helpful but not essential as training will be given.
