Welcome Payment
This post is eligible for the Trust 'Welcome to NELFT' Payment, a lump sum of 10% of agreed basic salary (pro rata if part time and exclusive of HCAS payments) (subject to a minimum of £4,000 and maximum of £10,000) and is open to all new applicants who are successfully appointed.
Band 6 - SCPHN Health Visitor
Redbridge has an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Health Visitor to join our innovative and forward thinking, 0-19 skilled mix team.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated practitioner with initiative and drive who is keen to contribute to the further development of our service. We work in close collaboration with Children Centre’s as well as other agencies to improve outcomes and reduce health inequalities for children, young people and their families in our borough.
For newly qualified practitioners, we have a Preceptorship Programme in place to aid your development. We also offer a wide range of ‘in-house’ and other training opportunities for continuous professional development through our learning and development department as well as clinical supervision and mentorship.
You will need to have the ability to work autonomously and as part of an integrated skill mix team. You need to have excellent communication skills and experience of working in partnership across organisational boundaries. You need to be willing to facilitate and support change in service delivery.
The successful candidate will work to ensure health equalities for children and families across Redbridge including those on universal and targeted caseloads. Duties include undertaking mandated contacts according to the Healthy child programme, supporting the safeguarding agenda and taking on supervision of colleagues and students.
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period.
High-Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,551 and a maximum payment of £5,735) pro rata for part time staff.
