13056 - - Audit Senior

Location: Leicester

Summary

Our client - a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Leicester - is seeking a part or fully qualified Senior Auditor to join their friendly team on a full-time permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity to work with a broad range of exciting, diverse clients.

Supporting the Manager, this role will be a mixture of Audit and Accounts Preparation.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring assignments are managed and work is completed in a timely manner.
  2. Plan and undertake audit and independent examination assignments of companies and also specialist assignments such as charities and pension schemes.
  3. Prepare financial statements for limited companies.
  4. Support and develop trainee accountants with their assignments.
  5. Deliver an excellent level of customer service, managing and exceeding client expectations, responding to all ad hoc queries in a timely manner.
  6. Maintain up to date technical knowledge and attend all relevant training, conferences and seminars.
  7. Manage all work efficiently, profitably and in accordance with the Company's procedures.
The Right Person
  1. Qualified or Part qualified ACA or ACCA.
  2. Demonstrable audit and accounts experience working in a fast-paced accountancy practice.
  3. High level of attention to detail.
  4. Effective & confident communication skills dealing with clients & colleagues.
  5. Highly organised with excellent planning, organisation & deadline time keeping skills.
  6. Strong IT skills including Sage Accounts, Iris, Xero & Microsoft Excel to a good standard.
Package
  1. Appointment Type: Permanent.
  2. Salary: Competitive (subject to experience) A£30-A£50K.
  3. Hours: Full-Time.
  4. Holiday: 20 Days + Bank Holidays.
  5. Auto-Enrolment Pension.
