We are currently recruiting for a compassionate and committed Nursery Deputy Manager to support with the leadership of a highly regarded and well-respected nursery, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and engaging place to learn for children between 3 months and 5 years old. This is a full-time position, covering maternity leave which could offer a permanent position at the same or another setting within the group upon completion of the initial term.

The Organisation

We've partnered with a highly regarded and successful nursery based in Surrey that provides early years education to boys and girls. The school has outstanding feedback from parents in addition to a very good rating from their most recent quality inspection and aims to continue safeguarding young children and supporting the local community.

Job Responsibilities

1. Ensure that all aspects of the Statutory Framework for Early Years Foundation Stage and welfare requirements are delivered to the highest standard.
2. Plan activities in line with EYFS.
3. Provide notable contribution to the nursery occupancy marketing and management.
4. Be responsible and assume accountability for the day-to-day operational running of the nursery in the absence of the manager.
5. Develop and maintain policies for review and assessment of each child's progress.

Requirements

1. Hold a relevant childcare or teaching qualification - level 3 minimum.
2. Have previous experience in a leadership role within early years education.
3. Previous experience in a nursery is highly advantageous.
4. Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
5. Possess a strong understanding of the EYFS and refer to the EYFS Framework to plan activities.
