Job description

Smart Teachers are recruiting for a passionate Teaching Assistant who has knowledge of phonics and pre-verbal communication to join a Primary School in Fulham.


About the role


  1. Role will be working as a Teaching Assistant in a reception class.
  2. You will be supporting a child with Autism on a 1:1 basis.
  3. Child is engaged in lessons but needs support developing speech and language skills.
  4. Role will start ASAP in March and will be until the end of the academic year with the potential to continue in September.
  5. The role is full time, Monday-Friday (08:30-16:00).

About the school


  1. 2 form entry Primary School in Fulham.
  2. The school caters for a diverse cohort of pupils who stem from a number of different backgrounds.
  3. Supportive SENCO who will support you in your role.
  4. The school is working with a speech and language therapist who will also help with the needs of the child.
  5. Located closely to excellent transport links.

Requirements


To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will:


  1. Have experience teaching phonics.
  2. Have an understanding of pre-verbal communication.
  3. Have an enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service.

The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:


  1. Prior experience supporting children with SEN.
