Taking this route allows you to get paid while studying and achieving your career goals. The OT Apprentice posts are full-time and within Navigo's Cedars based Mental Health Therapy Team.

Job Description
Job responsibilities
The successful candidate will be providing direct care to service users under the supervision of registered healthcare professionals. They will be working in both acute and community settings. They will be primarily focused on therapeutic interventions, implementing treatment plans, and promoting service user recovery, independence, social inclusion, quality of life, and future self-management when possible. They will be managing their own diary and caseload and will also support other staff carrying out delegated responsibilities where appropriate, supported by registered/senior staff. They may be attending Multidisciplinary Reviews and be able to contribute to professional discussions. They will be aware of their scope of practice and work in close liaison with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists and the wider Therapy Team. If successful in application to university, they will be expected to complete required coursework related to occupational therapy theory, practice, and ethics as part of the apprenticeship program and keep up to date with all the requirements and expectations of the university.
