Nanny Job Description
Marcilly Recruitment’s client, an UHNW family based in Chelsea, is seeking an energetic and experienced Nanny to support their two children of prep school age. This can be a live-in or live-out position with separate accommodation provided.
The ideal nanny candidate is someone fun, caring, flexible, adaptable and capable of providing structure and discipline for the children. The mother likes to be hand’s on with parenting, so they want someone who knows when to take a step back and can also use their initiative.
The successful candidate must have worked as a nanny in UHNW, private households before and demonstrated longevity with an employer. An ex-teacher would also be highly desirable to act as a governess for the children.
The family are a young, dynamic family with extremely busy lives. They really look after their staff but in return they do want someone who is dedicated and puts the children first. The successful nanny must thrive working in a fast-paced environment with ever-changing plans and schedules.
- Salary: £55K-£85K depending on experience - there can be flexibility for the perfect candidate
- Benefits: discretionary bonus, live in accommodation and a separate London flat with bills included, food provided on site daily, pension, 28 days holiday
- Start date: ideally ASAP, but happy to wait a notice period for the right candidate
- Location: Chelsea
- Hours: 07:00 – 19:00 five days a week
*The children are in education during the day for downtime and any admin during these hours. Gym onsite.
The family are looking at hiring two nannies, but the start dates will be staggered to enable successful onboarding. The hours will be 7am to 7pm to start with, but this does include downtime in the day, for example if you wanted to go to the gym. There is still admin and chores that need to be performed in the day when the children are at school, it is up to you to manage these and ensure everything is completed to a high standard. It will be five days a week, and initially they will look at Tuesday to Saturday 7am to 7pm. However, once they have onboarded the second nanny then hours will be Monday to Friday, but then you will take it in turns (twice a month) to work the weekend but have Monday and Tuesday off in lieu. The start times will also be staggered and done on more of a rota basis once the second nanny has been onboarded. This will mean one will do the 7am shift and then the other will do the evening shift.
