Job description

Salary: £30,000 per annum (pro rata for 20 hours per week)

Hours: 20 hours per week

Location: Oxford (with potential for hybrid working)

Reports to: CEO

Annual Leave entitlement: 28 days (pro rata to hours)

Pension is offered to all employees

Ark T is a dynamic and creative charity based in Oxford, committed to using the arts to transform lives and communities. Our projects focus on creativity as a tool for mental health support, youth engagement, and fostering inclusive spaces. We are now seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Fundraiser to help drive income generation, working collaboratively with our team to grow our capacity to support those in need.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fundraiser to help expand and diversify our funding streams. This role will focus on identifying, applying for, and securing grants from trusts and foundations, as well as cultivating individual and corporate giving. The ideal candidate will be proactive, well-organised, and comfortable using AI to streamline research, develop proposals, and manage donor engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential funding opportunities from a range of sources, including trusts, foundations, corporations, and individual donors.
  • Write compelling and persuasive funding applications tailored to the specific requirements of each funder.
  • Develop and manage relationships with existing and potential donors, ensuring regular communication and stewardship.
  • Work closely with the CEO and project teams to understand funding needs and opportunities.
  • Track and report on fundraising progress, maintaining accurate records of applications and outcomes.
  • Utilise AI tools to enhance research, proposal writing, and donor engagement processes, ensuring the organisation remains innovative and efficient in its fundraising activities.
  • Collaborate with the team on fundraising campaigns, including digital campaigns and events.
  • Assist with general fundraising administration and database management.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Attend meetings with line manager
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with Ark T’s values, guidelines, policies and procedures
  • Undergo training that will enable personal and workforce development.
  • Undertake any other relevant duty related to the further development, promotion and sustainability of the organisation as agreed with the Line Manager.
  • This role is subject to an DBS check
  • Experience with digital fundraising campaigns.
  • Familiarity with fundraising databases and CRM systems.
  • An understanding of the arts, mental health, and youth-focused charitable work.
