Project Engineer

Connect Appointments are working with our new engineering client in Aberdeen, and are on the lookout for a Project Engineer to join our client's team on a permanent basis.

This is a full-time permanent position, with a salary of £50,000 per annum, plus a range of company benefits.

Working as a Project Engineer, your duties will include:

1. Undertake the management of projects in accordance with the CDM regulations 2015
2. Estimating of projects as per customer enquiries, scope of works, specifications and requirements
3. Planning and management of projects from initiation to completion
4. Creation, management and maintenance of all required HSEQ documentation for the projects
5. Customer liaison, meetings, reporting and communication
6. Undertake HSEQ site audits and compile reports
7. Organisation and management of sub-contractors relating to the projects
8. Management of AJT site supervisors and site personnel whilst onsite
9. Project document control and certification
10. Maintain a safe and tidy working environment and make appropriate use of PPE at all times
11. Work to HSE ACOPs, customer rules and specifications, company/divisional work instructions and forms at all times
12. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times
13. Carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested

To be successful in this position, you will have:
SVQ level 3 or equivalent or higher in relevant trade qualification, ideally combined with preferred experience working in a mechanical, fabrication or piping engineering environment.

Other key skills, traits and experience include:

1. Preferred experience working on CDM worksites
2. Preferred basic knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 45001
3. Preferred Full clean driving licence
4. Ability to learn and adapt to the requirements of the role
5. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs
6. Possess computer skills and knowledge of using Microsoft software packages
7. Possess a high level of focus and attention to detail and accuracy
8. Organisational ability and time management skills
9. Demonstrated self-starter with high initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
10. Advanced conversational and written English/high level interpersonal skills
11. Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces
12. Ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner
13. Able to work away from home as required
