Pertemps Education Network

GBP 60,000 - 80,000
Job description

The working role entails both office and home working and direct assessments in schools, colleges, pre-schools, and homes of children and young people. We are seeking candidates who have a wide range of experience working with children and young people across the age ranges (from 0-25). Around 40% of our case load are pre-school children, so it is particularly important that they have experience in this area.

We also require candidates who have experience of providing advice and support for schools on provision and strategies to support a wide range of needs across the four areas of need:

  1. Cognition and learning: ranging from severe learning difficulties to specific difficulties;
  2. Language and social communication difficulties: a high proportion of children we work with are autistic, both with significant impairments and those that are higher functioning;
  3. Medical and sensory difficulties;
  4. Social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

Our role is based within a range of educational settings (pre-school, primary, secondary, and colleges, both mainstream and special schools). We are also seeking candidates who have worked in a range of schools, working at the individual level and also at a whole school level to support schools/settings to implement evidence-based effective interventions to promote psychological wellbeing and educational outcomes.

We would be seeking evidence of candidates applying person-centred approaches to work with children, their families, and schools to undertake individual assessments and provide consultation and training.
