Job description

Our client is a well-established pump rental provider in the UK, a global leader in the manufacture of high-quality pumps. We are seeking an Industrial Electrician to join their field-based teams to cover around the Nottingham area with a depot in Sutton in Ashfield, Nottingham.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Electrician with a background in either Commercial or Industrial environments to be a part of a stable mobile team in a position that will maintain, install, service, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment between branches and customer sites.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Install, service, and repair electrical/mechanical pump sets, both in-house and customer units, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative standards.
2. Perform electrical installations in line with National Working Rules for Electrical Contracting, I.E.E. Regulations, and Construction Industry Safety Regulations.
3. Prepare reports and estimates for unit repairs and provide safety advice as needed.
4. Document and adhere to Risk Assessment/Method Statements, ensuring clear communication and compliance.
5. Follow site-specific Health & Safety procedures strictly.
6. Ensure all installations meet C&G 2382 (18th Edition) Wiring Regulations.
7. Interpret drawings and specifications for job setup and requisition necessary materials.
8. Maintain strong customer relations through courteous and cooperative interactions, representing the company professionally on-site.
9. Communicate effectively with managers, colleagues, and customers about job details, such as ETAs and item statuses, and obtain required signatures and details for deliveries and collections.
10. Participate in on-call rotations and emergency call-outs as per business needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Experience working as an Electrician in a Commercial or Industrial environment, preferably within the construction/water/oil & gas, pump industry, or similar.
2. Proven experience of electrical & mechanical repair and installation.
3. AM2 (Achievement Measurement 2).
4. IEE Wiring Regulations 18th edition (BS 7671:2011).
5. ECS Gold Card.
6. Full driving licence.

The appointed person will have a solid Electrical background in any Industrial or Commercial environment. This is a field-based position, so you must be able to travel to customer sites around West Yorkshire, which will include some out-of-hours rota.
