Job description

Senior DevOps Engineer, Observability - Remote

The Role

  • Responsible for designing, implementing, and optimising observability solutions for Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) environments.
  • Maintain system reliability, performance, and security by implementing monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting solutions across cloud-native architectures.
  • Work closely with SREs, developers, and platform engineers to maintain high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Design and implement end-to-end observability solutions for AWS EKS clusters.
  • Deploy and manage monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, or New Relic.

Skills

  • Expertise in AWS EKS and Kubernetes administration.
  • Hands-on experience with observability tools.
  • Strong experience with Terraform, Helm, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation for IaC.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD automation tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, FluxCD).
  • Advanced scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, or Go.

Compliance: This role is inside of IR35 and candidates need to be resident in the UK for compliance purposes.
