Role: Business Development Consultant
Overview
Stott and May Consulting is the IT Professional Service arm of Stott and May Group. After a successful 4 years of trading, we are looking to expand the business by bringing in a BDC to help appropriately grow out the offering. Currently working with a number of blue-chip clients, we are already getting demand for larger pieces of work which we need additional support with. Our current Statement of Work portfolio spans across Information Security, Infrastructure, Data/AI, Cloud and Change/Project Management with more approaching within App Dev and Testing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Identify and research potential clients
- Develop and maintain client relationships
- Coordinate with delivery and solutions teams to develop client proposals
- Negotiate contract terms with clients
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders
- Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed
- Gather useful information from customer and competitor data
- Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
Key Skills
- Previous experience within a B2B sales role
- Proven track record within a successful business development
- Understanding of the SOW (Statement of Work) Commercial process
- Stakeholder engagement and management
- “Non-technical Sales” level of IT understanding
- Ability to assist with client proposals and presentations
- Team player
Desired Skills
- Held a previous sales role within a managed service business / consultancy
- Proof of winning 2-5 customers each calendar year
- Focused vertical background of Security or Cloud
