Technical Sales Engineer – Company Overview
Our client, a market leading manufacturer, is currently looking for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join their dynamic team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between technical products and customer needs, using their engineering expertise to support sales efforts. This role requires a combination of strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills to deliver tailored solutions and build strong relationships with clients.
Technical Sales Engineer – Roles & Responsibilities
- Work closely with customers to identify their technical needs and provide solutions through detailed product demonstrations, presentations, and consultations.
- Deliver technical support throughout the sales cycle, including pre-sales consultations, project scoping, and post-sales troubleshooting.
- Assist in creating detailed proposals, quotes, and bids by evaluating customer requirements and tailoring solutions that meet their technical and budgetary needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of the company’s products and services, including their technical specifications, capabilities, and applications in various industries.
- Prepare and deliver product documentation, manuals, and training materials for clients and sales teams.
- Provide technical guidance to customers post-purchase, troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and offering additional support to maximise customer satisfaction.
Technical Sales Engineer – Skills & Experience
- Experience in technical sales or engineering role in Manufacturing/Production.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts, including manufacturing processes, product design, and engineering principles.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proven experience in sales, negotiation, and closing deals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess customer needs and develop effective solutions.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and marketing.
- Proficiency in using CRM software, CAD, or other technical sales and design tools is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
