All About the Role

Based at our Avonmouth site, we have a vacancy for a Warehouse/Saw Operative. The hours are on a rotating shift pattern, Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm and then Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm.

The purpose of this role is to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment. Specific tasks could include:

1. Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large items.
2. Accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification and use of measuring equipment.
3. Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
4. Operate saws and handle steel.
5. Transfer stock to its location using Forklift trucks.
6. Assist in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
7. Maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
8. Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements.

Essential Skills for the Role:

• Experience with bandsaws/similar machinery but not essential as training will be given.
• Be mechanically minded.
• Have a flexible attitude, be results oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment.
• Ideally have operated Fork-Lift or Side-loader.
• Health & Safety awareness.
