An established industry player is seeking a Senior Estates Surveyor to join their dynamic Property & Technical Team. This role involves managing a team while overseeing commercial and corporate property valuations, negotiating rent reviews, leases, and sales. Salary: £45,184 - £49,400 per year

East Renfrewshire Council has an exciting opportunity for a talented and committed individual to join our friendly and supportive Property & Technical Team within their Environment department.
As a Senior Estates Surveyor, you will proactively manage and mentor the team, with commercial and corporate property valuation instructions, drive forward the property portfolio to deliver the best value through the negotiation of rent reviews, new leases, licences, and wayleave agreements, along with marketing and negotiating sales and acquisitions of land and property. Support our key stakeholders with estate management enquiries.
As a key customer-focused member of the service, you should be a degree-educated (or equivalent) MRICS-qualified surveyor, hold registered valuer status, or be eligible to obtain. You will possess considerable expertise in property asset valuations, property management pertaining to a leased portfolio, as well as the acquisition and disposal of land and property. Experience working in the public sector would be advantageous but is not a prerequisite.
You will have a passion for property, an eye for detail and a drive and motivation to improve the service. Being computer literate with excellent IT and interpersonal skills, capable of working on your own initiative and as part of a team in line with performance standards and deadlines are essential for the role. Familiarity with property management systems would be helpful. A full, clean driver’s licence with access to a vehicle is desirable.
This is a full-time post; however, job share could be considered in the event that the second successful candidate indicates an interest in the same. This position is a flexi-hour post.
*Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
