We are looking for enthusiastic CBT Therapists/Clinical or Counselling Psychologists to provide therapy to clients referred to the NHS Talking Therapies Barking & Dagenham team, a primary care service working within the framework of an IAPT service model.
The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with Senior Practitioners, HI Intensity Therapists, Counsellors, PWPs, Employment Advisors and a range of other professionals in the team.
The post holder will also be expected to operate autonomously, providing cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to clients presenting with complex anxiety disorders and depression, therefore, a good knowledge of disorder specific CBT interventions is essential. Alongside individual therapy, the post holder will be required to offer group treatment, conduct telephone and face-to-face assessments as part of their caseload. Working within the service’s business hours (8am-8pm) and offering a minimum of one evening per week is a necessary requirement of this role, therefore, flexibility regarding working hours is important.
We actively encourage a team approach and commitment to the team’s shared values and ethos must be demonstrated through regular attendance of team meetings, supervision and operating within the service’s local policies and procedures.
