YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
We are looking for inquisitive, articulate, numerate, and above all, enthusiastic placement students to support the wider team in delivering these critical insights and building on the capabilities of our product.
You will be part of a close-knit and friendly team who share results and celebrate success together.
As a Data Scientist at Medialab, you will join the rapidly developing data team, responsible for:
- Measurement solutions
- Modelling expertise
- Helping a diverse client-set understand the true value of their media investment
- Creating compelling data stories on how to drive growth
- Automating insights into the planning cycle through our advanced and integrated tech stack
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Work closely with business teams to identify and resolve issues using data-driven solutions for decision-making and campaign measurement.
- Use machine learning and statistical techniques to solve complex problems and improve performance insights.
- Develop and implement automated data processes using Python/R to structure, clean, and manage large datasets efficiently.
- Build algorithms and design experiments to extract and analyze data, generating insights for clients and internal teams.
- Support account management and planning teams by delivering media campaign measurement across multiple channels.
- Conduct regular client analysis and reporting, focusing on multi-channel response attribution, retention/churn, customer lifetime value, and segmentation.
- Collaborate with the Datalab team and senior stakeholders to develop analytical propositions.
- Maintain clear and coherent communication, both verbal and written, to understand data needs and present insights effectively.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Strengths
- Highly numerate undergraduate studying a relevant degree (Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or similar).
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills (pre-requisite).
- Experience with coding in Python, R, or SQL.
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools like Power BI or Google Data Studio (useful but not essential).
- Understanding of statistical techniques (e.g. regression, confidence measures).
- Strong data manipulation skills with a keen eye for accuracy.
- Good communication skills to explain insights and collaborate effectively.
