Hays are working with a Bath-based business to recruit a Project Accountant

Your new company
A well-known business in Bath is looking to recruit a Project Accountant on a permanent basis.

Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work across multiple teams and with various stakeholders to provide oversight and support on key business projects. This will result in providing insightful and actionable information, challenging where possible to ensure the projects are delivered within budget and on time. Key to the role will include:

1. Oversee project budgets and forecasts, maintaining project reports
2. Analysis of costs incurred and expenses detailing commentary
3. Undertake analysis of cost benefit, providing critical insights to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
4. Ensure there is robust governance and compliance with project finances
5. Review business case models to ensure any changes are calculated, and the project remains viable.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified accountant with strong communication skills that has the ability to challenge a variety of stakeholders. Ideally, you will have project experience, be able to see the bigger picture and translate financial implications to the team.
