Job description

We are looking for a passionate and talented mid-weight graphic designer to join our fast-growing team at luxury leather goods house Métier. As the Graphic Designer, you will be creating and delivering design projects on both digital and printed media. This exciting role requires a strong understanding of design and layout in a luxury environment, as well as creativity and the ability to work on multiple projects at once. In return, we offer great exposure and first-hand insights into the creative and commercial strategies in a high-growth environment within the luxury sector.

This is a full-time role, based in London, reporting to our Customer Director. The graphic designer works closely with senior team members of both the commercial team and the brand team, the latter led by the Creative Director.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Producing content in line with the brand guidelines for website, newsletter, and social media platforms in line with the brand’s comms calendar.
  2. Creating designs and mocking up artwork for all brand collaterals, including the brand book, look books, line sheets, event invitations, collaborations, B2B, and press collaterals.
  3. Creating content for key social platforms, including capturing and editing video, stills, GIFs, etc.
  4. Editing existing videos and imagery for marketing purposes (Google, Instagram ads).
  5. Retouching of imagery, including resizing and colour correcting.
  6. Producing the artwork for a range of printed materials including packaging and stationery.
  7. Monitoring design and fashion trends and providing research work to the Art Director.
  8. Supporting and collaborating with the Creative Director on a variety of graphic assets, as well as research work and mood boards.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  1. 3+ years’ experience in a similar role; prior experience working in the luxury or fashion industry is a plus.
  2. Strong level of experience and knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite; Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop.
  3. Great understanding and working knowledge of Final Cut / After Effects.
  4. Knowledge of Premiere Pro is an advantage.
  5. Good understanding of print processes.
  6. Quality and consistency with all executions, with a keen eye for detail and finish.
  7. A resourceful and motivated self-starter, with strong initiative and organisational skills.
  8. Strategic thinker who can problem solve as well as being highly organised.
  9. Exceptional attention to detail, ability to prioritise and work under pressure.
  10. Right to work in the UK.
