Interim Finance Manager - Real Estate

Are you an experienced Finance Manager looking for an interim opportunity within a fast-paced and growing property consultancy? Our client is a specialist real estate business that provides expert advisory and management services across residential and commercial property sectors. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality solutions, they are looking for a hands-on finance professional to support their team during a crucial period of growth.

Role & Responsibilities:

As the Interim Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the company's financial operations, ensuring efficient processes, compliance, and strategic financial oversight:

  • Financial Management & Accounting - Oversee and manage financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Management Accounts & Payroll - Supervise the accounting team, produce monthly management accounts, and oversee payroll and VAT submissions.
  • Invoice & Expense Management - Raise invoices, manage company card transactions, and oversee cash flow and debtor reports.
  • QuickBooks Proficiency - Ideally, you will have experience using QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Reporting & Analysis - Prepare financial data for monthly management meetings, with a focus on profitability, cost control, and strategic insights.
  • Profit & Loss Oversight - Support business leaders in driving profitability by closely managing costs and reporting on financial performance.

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE with strong financial management experience.
  • Proven track record in a Finance Manager or Management Accountant role, ideally within a property, consultancy, or professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, payroll, VAT, and cash flow management.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and deliver insight-led financial support to the business.
  • Available immediately or on short notice for an interim role.
