Business Development Manager - Event Technology

Location: East Hampshire (Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 remote)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Commission

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in building and expanding key partnerships with event agencies and technology providers. You'll be instrumental in growing the company's channel ecosystem, driving new business, and shaping the sales strategy.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who thrives on building relationships and working independently. Reporting directly to the company founder, you'll have a real impact on the company's growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and nurture relationships with event agencies, tech providers, and other key partners.
  2. Identify new partnership opportunities and integrate the company's technology into partners' service offerings.
  3. Present innovative solutions to potential partners in both virtual and face-to-face meetings.
  4. Support marketing and outreach initiatives to enhance brand awareness in the event and martech industries.
  5. Work closely with the founder to shape the growth strategy for channel partnerships.

What We're Looking For
  1. Experience: 2+ years in Sales, Business Development, or Account Management.
  2. Presentation & Negotiation Skills: Confident in pitching solutions and closing partnerships both online and in person.
  3. Organisational Skills: Strong time management and ability to work independently.
  4. Communication: A natural relationship builder with excellent interpersonal skills.
  5. Flexibility: Willing to travel for events and partner meetings.

Bonus Points if You Have:
  1. Experience in the event industry.
  2. Familiarity with event tech platforms such as HubSpot, Bizzabo, or Cvent.
