Job Overview:
As a BMS (Building Management Systems) Commissioning Engineer based in London, you will play a key role in the commissioning and integration of BMS systems, primarily focusing on Trend and/or Tridium systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth handover of BMS installations to clients, conducting performance testing, fault diagnostics, and providing post-installation support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commissioning and integration of Trend and/or Tridium BMS systems across various projects.
- Perform system performance checks, calibration, and configuration to meet project specifications.
- Diagnose and rectify faults within BMS systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure that systems meet design and performance criteria.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including commissioning reports, system documentation, and handover packs.
- Provide technical support to clients post-installation to ensure system reliability.
- Interface with other project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of the BMS systems.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and new developments in BMS technology.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience working with Trend and/or Tridium BMS systems.
- Proven track record in BMS commissioning, including the configuration and programming of BMS controllers.
- Strong diagnostic skills for fault finding and troubleshooting BMS issues.
- Solid understanding of HVAC systems and their integration into BMS systems.
- Ability to read and understand BMS schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues effectively.
- Willingness to travel within the London area for project assignments.
Desirable Skills & Attributes:
- Experience with other BMS platforms or systems.
- Formal training or certifications in Trend, Tridium, or other relevant BMS systems.
- Strong IT skills and understanding of networking within BMS environments.
- An interest in professional development, with a willingness to undertake further training and certifications.
