WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Nurturing Relationships: Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with client senior management and key stakeholders by actively listening to their needs and responding to the Voice of the Customer with empathy and care.
• Collaborative Planning: Contribute to the development of a Joint Business Plan with all clients, ensuring a shared strategic framework that aligns the goals of both DHL and the client, fostering a partnership built on mutual success.
• Operational Excellence: Lead with a focus on operational service, cost control, and quality performance, guiding regular client business review processes with a supportive and inclusive approach.
• Empowering Site Performance: Maximize site operations by effectively directing teams, planning resources thoughtfully, and maintaining meaningful communication with all levels of staff to create a harmonious and productive work environment.
• Commitment to Compliance: Ensure that site operations consistently meet all legal, corporate, contractual, and client requirements for safety, quality, service delivery, and cost, prioritizing the well-being of all stakeholders.
• Strategic Resource Planning: Implement effective resource planning processes based on the latest client volume forecasts and operational capabilities, regularly reviewing and adjusting plans to remain responsive and adaptive.
• Championing Continuous Improvement: Lead the continuous improvement of operational performance against targets and budgets, identifying opportunities for enhancement and taking initiative to develop these into impactful change programs with the support and engagement of relevant stakeholders.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Experience in managing closed book commercial arrangements. Ensuring thoughtful financial oversight and strategic alignment with business objectives.
• Proven ability to oversee a large, automated warehousing facility, showcasing proficiency in managing advanced logistics operations.
• A strong track record of leading warehousing operations at a senior level, highlighting a commitment to optimizing processes and enhancing efficiency.
• Experience in employing Process Improvement techniques to address operational challenges is valuable; a passion for continuous improvement is essential for success in this role.
• A proven ability to build and nurture high-performing teams, fostering engagement and collaboration.
• An outstanding and demonstrable record of achieving targets is crucial, reflecting a results-oriented mindset.
• Experience within an OEM manufacturing supply chain environment is desirable.
• A background in cultivating effective working relationships with Trade Unions through the development of robust Employee Relations (ER) and Industrial Relations (IR) strategies is desirable.
