Newly Qualified Social Worker

Wakefield Children’s Services are looking for newly qualified ASYE’s to join our incredible locality and children in care services. What are we asking from you?

• BA or MA in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or equivalent, recognised by the Central Council for Education & Training in Social Work.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• An ability to build strong relationships with children, their families, colleagues, and partner agencies.
• Resilience, tenacity, and passion.
• To be able to identify what children and their families need to make positive changes.
• An ability to write high-quality reports and assessments and analyse information effectively.

Probation

In line with the Council’s Probation Procedure, certain positions may be subject to a six-month probationary period. This requirement does not apply to internal vacancies.
