Join Stantec, a leading engineering consultancy, and shape the future of wet infrastructure! We're seeking a Senior Clean Water Network Modeller to enhance our industry-leading Water Sector team, based from any of our UK & Ireland offices with flexible hybrid working. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to lead on exciting projects linked to the provision of clean, safe water to our communities, addressing pressing challenges such as network optimisation, live modelling, leakage management, network rehabilitation, and smart network operations. You'll work in a collaborative environment, contributing to the advancement of innovative solutions and the adoption of the latest digital technologies in water network management. Your responsibilities will include conducting advanced modelling of clean water networks, using data analysis to provide valuable insights for optimising water network performance, and working with the team to drive innovation within clean water network modelling.

Our Water Networks team works with water companies across the UK & Ireland and we have secured key frameworks for AMP8. This enables us to continue expanding our service offerings, whilst focusing on innovation and best practice, and providing integrated service delivery. This approach supports our clients in achieving their goals and enhances services to communities.

As a member of our collaborative team, you will:
  • Lead the technical delivery of water network modelling, network management, and optimisation projects and programmes, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Leverage your experience in water network modelling and management to shape methodologies and solutions, driving best-in-class outcomes.
  • Mentor junior team members, developing their technical and non-technical skills to support their career growth and the team's development. Contribute to training initiatives and coordinate wider training efforts.
  • Commit to growing your internal and external networks to achieve positive project outcomes, benefiting both your professional development and the success of your projects.
About You

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to work in a collaborative environment, shaping our service offerings and the communities we serve.

We are looking for:

  • Experience leading staff in hydraulic model development, design, and operational support, with advanced water systems knowledge.
  • Ability to lead impact assessments, growth studies, and optimization projects.
  • Advanced data analysis skills for water balance and network data.
  • Expertise in hydraulic modelling software (e.g., InfoWorks, SynerGi, InfoWater, ArcGIS).
  • A relevant degree; postgraduate degree and chartership are preferred.
