Job description

Location: Greater Manchester / North West

First City is looking to recruit up to 4 additional engineers due to expansion to join our team. With current technical knowledge of BS5839 and FIA Units 1-6 preferred, the Fire Security Engineer will assist where necessary in fault finding and problem solving for a wide range of fire alarm panels, both addressable and conventional, and be responsible for commissioning fire & Security systems (subject to skill level and training requirements). Additionally, the successful candidate should have a good knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder systems.

Key Responsibilities of the role:

  1. Commission / Service of our wide range of Fire equipment.
  2. Provide excellent service to customers, building solid working relationships.
  3. Attend urgent service calls to meet our service level agreements.
  4. Be involved in a 24-hour emergency cover rota 1 week in 7.
  5. Advise customers on new products and services to improve efficiency.

Requirements of the Role:

  1. Minimum 5 years industry experience is essential.
  2. Computer literate with proven commissioning skills.
  3. Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  4. Full UK driving license.
  5. CRB check.
  6. Flexible & self-motivated.

Other Skills an advantage but not a requirement:

  1. Worked with CASH or other automated mobile engineers systems.
  2. Worked within a BAFE / SSAIB / NSI accredited company.
