Job Overview

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network and ACI Engineer to join a team of skilled engineers to work on an advanced networking and ACI project. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in designing, implementing, and managing complex network infrastructure with a strong focus on Cisco ACI.

The role requires a deep understanding of networking technologies, automation, and the ability to lead and deliver infrastructure projects while ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability of the design.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and Implementation:
   • Design, deploy, and manage Cisco ACI-based data centre solutions.
   • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions.
   • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and optimise network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
   • Strong understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols - BGP, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP.
   • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
2. Network Operations and Support:
   • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution of network-related issues.
   • Monitor network performance, availability, and reliability of the network.
3. Automation and Scripting:
   • Develop and implement automation scripts and tools like Python, Ansible, or PowerShell to deliver network implementation.
   • Leverage APIs for integration and automation within the ACI environment.
4. Security and Compliance:
   • Implement and enforce network security best practices.
5. Collaboration and Leadership:
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project delivery.
   • Mentor and guide junior network engineers.
   • Lead network-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

1. Experience:
   • 7+ years’ experience in Network engineering, with at least 2 years focused on Cisco ACI.
   • Proven experience in designing and managing large-scale data centre networks.
   • Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus Switches, ASR routers, and firewalls.
2. Technical Skills:
   • In-depth knowledge of Cisco ACI infrastructure, policies, and fabric.
   • Strong understanding of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VXLAN, EVPN).
   • Proficiency in automation tools and scripting languages (Python, Ansible).
   • Familiarity with SDN (Software-Defined Networking) concepts and technologies.
   • Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
