About the Role:

Are you a visionary leader with a passion for driving automation and insight in the financial sector? Our client, a well-established BPA provider in London, is seeking an experienced Head of Automation & Insight to join their dynamic team. Working with the senior Finance Leadership Team to deliver the vision for the finance function, you will be involved in all stages of the development life cycle from vision, development of solutions, embedding into BAU and monitoring.

In this senior leadership role, you will be at the forefront of financial transformation, combining your technical expertise with strong stakeholder management and leadership skills. This role is particularly well-suited for candidates with an actuarial background, who have been involved in financial transformations and have exposure to Python, C++, and R Shiny.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Oversight: While not directly involved in coding, you will review code changes, manage new releases, and oversee the development, testing, and go-live processes.
2. Leadership: Lead and inspire a team, providing guidance and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
3. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.
4. Strategic Involvement: Participate in steering committees, contributing to the strategic direction of the company's automation and insight initiatives.

Key Qualifications:

1. Proven experience in financial transformation projects, ideally from an actuarial background.
2. Strong technical background with exposure to Python, C++, and R Shiny, RAFM etc.
3. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and non-technical information effectively.
4. Experience in leadership roles, with a focus on automation and insight.
5. Ability to manage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
