As a Shift Team Leader, you will become a leading part of the Operations and Maintenance team; working a shift pattern of (4 on 3 off, 3 on 1 off, 3 on 3 off, and 4 on 7 off) across 4 weeks; for which you will receive an additional shift allowance.
Presently, there are 4 teams of 5 made up of a Team leader, and a mix of Senior maintenance technicians and Maintenance Technicians. This role will report to the London Operations and Maintenance Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Delivery and organisation of both reactive and planned maintenance as well as project activities across our prestigious grade I listed site at Threadneedle Street and our Moorgate site.
- This role is a working Shift Leader, they will be expected to do some operational work when required.
- You will be responsible for a team of Senior Technicians and Technicians of various disciplines and skills. This role may also include the managing responsibility for our team of painters or an apprentice.
- You will work closely with the Building Services Managers providing feedback on maintenance regimes, escalating any priority issues, conditional state, compliance, and ideas for optimisation.
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance to agreed methods, risk assessments, service level agreements and customer service standards.
- Working closely with the Planning team, Shift Leaders, Shift Charge Engineers, and third parties to prioritise and effectively assign workload across the team.
- To develop and maintain effective communications, team working and continuous improvement cultures in their team and across the wider maintenance and operations teams.
- To ensure data quality standards in CAFM are maintained with remediations and risks escalated in a timely manner.
- To support the Building Services Managers to manage services and ensure compliance.
- Demonstrate strong staff management of their team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate with stakeholders and produce detailed written reports.
Skill and Experience
- HNC/HND or equivalent in building services discipline or level 3 technical qualification with significant experience.
- Experience in staff and team management, along with technical supervision and leadership.
- Working to Safe Systems of Work and being an Authorised Person.
- Exposure to a full range of reactive and planned maintenance regimes.
- Industry-recognised H&S qualification but as a minimum having experience of completing risk assessments and method statements.
- Experience of using Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM).
- In-depth knowledge of statutory compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate with stakeholders and produce detailed written reports.
National Security Vetting Process
Employment in this role will be subject to the National Security Vetting clearance process (and typically can take between 6 to 12 weeks post offer) and the passing of additional Bank security checks in accordance with the Bank policy.
