Job description

Pre-Construction Manager (M&E) – Permanent – Solihull – circa £60,000 plus benefits

AndersElite are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Construction Manager specialising in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) to join our clients dynamic team based in Solihull, near Birmingham.

This is a permanent, office-based role offering a competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £70,000 plus benefits, depending on experience.

The role will ideally commence in April 2025 although this can be sooner or later depending on applicant’s availability / notice period.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from the point they are won until they are successfully transitioned onto the site. Key responsibilities include coordinating procurement, design, planning, and programming elements to ensure seamless project delivery.

Skills / Duties:

  1. Strong project management skills
  2. Expertise in M&E / building services
  3. Understanding of value engineering
  4. Ability to coordinate procurement, design, and planning departments
  5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  6. Experience in managing project transitions from bid won to site
  7. Reviewing key documents
  8. Client liaison
  9. Sub-contractor selection and early management
  10. Commercial awareness and cost management
  11. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Software/Tools:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)

Qualification:

  • Relevant qualification in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is preferred

This permanent position offers a salary of approximately £50,000 - £70,000 per annum depending on experience, with additional company benefits, including paid business travel, pension scheme, excellent holiday scheme, health plan and company bonus.
